About Andrew Turtle

Andrew Turtle is a writer, researcher, and lived-experience advocate working at the intersection of health, consciousness, culture, and creative expression. His work spans public health, mental health lived experience, systems thinking, and the arts, bringing together rigorous analysis with deeply personal insight.

Andrew holds an undergraduate degree in Chinese Medicine, a Master’s degree in International Public Health, and TAFE Diplomas in Community Care Coordination and Library Services. This multidisciplinary background informs his holistic approach to wellbeing, knowledge systems, and social change.

Professionally, Andrew has worked as a Local Area Coordinator and Peer Worker, supporting people navigating disability and mental health systems while contributing to service design, coordination, and advocacy. He is currently the Champion for Finding North, a platform that connects people with lived experience to opportunities, events, and collective action across the mental health sector.

Andrew is the author of four books:

• The Consumer Journey (Chipmunka, 2021)

• A Turtle’s Journey (self-published memoir, 2024)

• Lived Experience Power (Chipmunka, 2025)

• The Dialectics of Mania (2026)

In addition, he has published 12 eBooks on Amazon, exploring themes of lived experience, consciousness, systems change, and personal transformation.
